shaandar is an upcomming indian romantic comedy film,directed by vikas bahl and produced by anurag kashyap and vikramaditya motwane.
Though it stars alia bhatt and shahid kapoor in lead roles with the pankaj kapoor and sanjay kapoor in supporting roles.although we see the couple in the first time but the T.O.I described as "India's first wedding film,".
Actors Alia Bhatt and Shahid Kapoor fall for each other with quite a bit of opposition from Alia's stern screen father, Pankaj Kapur,in the first trailer of their upcoming film Shaandaar.
The first look was simultaneously tweeted by Shahid himself and filmmaker Karan Johar ,who has co-produced the film with Phantom Films, co-owned by Shaandaar director Vikas Bahl. #Shaandaar Trailer is currently the top trend on Twitter.
In the trailer, Shahid plays wedding planner Jaginder Joginder, who is in charge of Alia's sister Isha's wedding. Isha is played by Sanaah Kapur, Shahid's half-sister and Pankaj Kapur's daughter, making the film a Kapoor family affair. The film marks Sanaah's debut in Bollywood.
The trailer also features Sushma Seth as the family matriarch and Sanjay Kapoor as a flamboyant wedding guest.
Shaandaar, which also co-stars Diljit Dosanjh, Shibani Dandekar and Anjana Sukhani, will hit the screens this 22 October on Dussehra.
